Instructions
-
Heat oil on medium high. Add onions and sauté until onions are just soft. Add cabbage, salt and white pepper and soy sauce. Cook stirring frequently until all cabbage is hot but not soft about 5 min. Remove from heat and cabbage in half. Use one half as a side with your dumplings and set the other half aside to cool for the dumpling stuffing.
-
Once cabbage mixture is cooled completely add raw ground pork, salt and pepper, green onion and cilantro. Mix well.
-
Place 1 teaspoon mixture in a single won-ton wrap. Dip your finger in water and run your wet finger around the edges of the won-ton wrap. Fold the square won-ton wrap on it’s diagonal so it is triangle shaped and press edges together firmly. Repeat this until all the pork mixture is used.
-
Keep stuffed wraps under a moist paper towel so they do not dry out before cooking.
-
In a nonstick large fry pan add 1 Tbsp sesame oil and heat on medium high. Place 12 dumplings in the pan and cook on a reduced heat ...medium for 2 min until bronzed on one side. Add 1/2 cup water, cover and cook for exactly 6 minutes for pork until all water is evaporated. Remove lid and turn heat up if the water is not completely evaporated. Once the water is gone your pot stickers are ready.
-
Serve immediately with suggested dipping sauce.
